DFW Airport settles lawsuit with former employee who alleged wrongful termination

DFW Airport has settled a wrongful termination lawsuit, with the airport board approving a payout of $84,500 in exchange for dismissal of the suit with prejudice and a full release of all claims. Of the total settlement amount, $48,300 will be paid to the plaintiff and $36,200 will be paid to plaintiff's attorney. Plaintiff is a former employee who alleged wrongful termination on the basis of sex, national origin, disability and retaliation discrimination. This is a disputed claim and the settlement is to avoid the additional time and expense of trying the case and future appeals.
