British Airways is tentatively planning to put the Airbus A380 on its daily service from London Heathrow (LHR) to DFW from December 7. This date coincides with the last day of the carrier’s short-lived 2x daily service, which will run from November 1 through December 8.
Through the years, the London to DFW route, originally flown by British Caledonian, has seen DC-10s, Boeing 777-200s, Boeing 777-300s, Boeing 747-400s, and Boeing 787-8s, 787-9s, and 787-10s.
The only other carriers who have regularly scheduled the Airbus A380 to DFW are of course Qantas and Emirates. Lufthansa’s has diverted here a handful of times on its way to Houston.
