DFW Airport August 2021 Passenger Traffic Statistics

DFW Airport saw 5,770,141 passengers in August, of which 86.5 percent (4,988,482) flew on American Airlines of American Eagle. That is the definition of a fortress hub.

Foreign carriers flew 95,345 passengers, which was good for 1.7 percent of the load. Overall, 9.1 percent of all flights at DFW in August were international trips.

For the first eight months of 2021, DFW has totaled 39,281,437 passengers, which is nearly 56 percent higher than the 25,222,605 in 2020 when of course air travel bottomed out due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, this number is still off nearly 22 percent compared to August 2019, pre-pandemic, when DFW had totaled 50,146,808 passengers in the first eight months of the year.5014
